TITLE: “Coming Apart?’ Prospects for American Unity During the Trump Presidency”

Dr. Charles Murray, author of the New York Times bestseller “Coming Apart” (2012) will help us discuss the prospects for American unity during the presidency of Donald Trump.

DESCRIPTION: The guarantee of free speech and the right to political dissent form some of the noblest political traditions in America. The responsible exercise of these rights is crucial to a government grounded in popular consent that seeks both to protect the rights of its citizens and to secure the interests of the nation. But in the current political climate, the prospects for achieving “unity out of many” seem increasingly dim. What are the roots of our current political divisions? Can they be bridged? Or is America truly coming apart? Dr. Charles Murray, author of the New York Times bestseller “Coming Apart” (2012) will help us discuss the prospects for American unity during the presidency of Donald Trump. Charles Murray
